death, resurrection and fertility

Osiris was for the ancient Egyptians the god of dead, resurrection and fertility. These themes are so fundamental and important through the ages.
Osiris was depicted as a green skinned deity, so that is why i chose the color green for the dress. In her hand a green mask. The  god Anubis had such a head. Anubis was the original god of dead before Osiris took over. So Nic is symbolizing the theme with her dress and mask from :::UNA:::., available at the days of yore event, an age undreamed of inspired Event (from the Fantasy Collective ). Yore meaning a time long ago or days gone by. The event is running till April 1. The separate dresses come with the top and belt. The fat pack comes with extra colors, the mask and the collar.
There is something more that Nic is wearing that can make a decision over life or death. See the dagger under the garter on her leg from Fortuna. It's called a widowmaker. It has the potential to cause sudden loss of life. No resurrection in this case. Available at the Sense event from Fortuna. The shoes are from Poison Rouge (hmm... dangerous name!) also at the Sense event and i used a pose that is available at the event from Navajo. I used the animare hud to change the position of the arms a bit, so you could see the dress and mask better. The left arm was otherwise hiding the open part under Nic's bra. And the right hand is more to the front to show the mask.
Nic's hair is from :::Phoenix::: ( hey... resurrection theme again!). The hair has a styling possibility hud.

Soon i'll fly away. Three weeks far away. I will take many thoughts with me. For example about the good friends, that i met in sl. I will miss them.I will miss blogging too. And this place on these pictures will be in my mind. All is beautiful there. The hammock rocked slowly back and forth. Extraordinary peaceful. Sitting on the  bench with view over the water and a good talk. It made me happy. Feels like home there.

Laura wanted me to make a blog post from this new group gift  from Safira as fast as possible. But i was so distracted by all what came on my long and winding road in sl and rl today that in the beginning i thought " let it go, the post can also be made later". dozing off in her garden shed

This garden shed makes me happy and dozing off in the sun there too. The opposite from how the weather is now in Holland. I am longing for warm sunny times and falling in a light sleep in the afternoon. Click the small picture for a better view. My flickr picture is here. I love faves;)

Nic uses her garding shed for her baking hobby. I love the at home baking set from Dust bunny at FaMESHed. You can see many items on the table. Behind Nic  is a grungy Panel , a subscriber gift from cinphul ( showed them before on this blog), but i think it's very decorative for a garden shed.

the color of healing

Green is the color of healing. It gives rest and gives us a save feeling. It's a very basic nature color and the symbolic meaning stands for fertility. Today it also stands for St. Patrick's day.
Nic's moods are changing you can see on the pictures from a bit sad to happiness. I hope not because of the alcohol from the St. Patrick's coctails.

This is a bit a lazy blogpost. Hair, make-up and stockings from yesterday. The blogpost from yesterday was more laborious to make. Now she is in the fields. The morning fog is still laying over the fields. It's cold but the sun did come through the clouds and will drive out the fog. Pictures are made at Izzie's, now decorated for spring.
Nic's dress is from the lucky boards at Cynful. It's from the Take Note Set. In the package are the dress ( with and without a pantie and the corset and tie. All for Maitreya, Belleza and Slink. Good also for a secretary. Nic will wear this at the St.Patrick's feast at the place with her friends this evening. Nic's St. Patrick's coctail is from a hunt at ChicChica. Very easy to find. It has a good bento holding animation. Made with good details.
Nic's shoes with reptile texture have the super color hud from H@S. You can match the shoes with every color of your outfit. So worthwhile to have these.

I can highly recommend to take a look at this beautiful place: La Digue du Braek. About that sim: Fifty years ago, an industrial program set up a steel and petrochemical complex in western Dunkirk. In order to allow the tankers to deliver oil, was erceted an artificial dam seven kilometers long, the dyke of Braek. The place is from Serene Footman.

Soft spring colors in new gifts. The dress at the first picture is from neve, a gift at The Liaison Collaborative. Lovely dress. Nic is wearing the dress with the Fifty Linden Friday shoes from Reign ( still available today/ i think because the delivery had delay). You get the shoes with a color hud for the socks, the ribbon and  the shoes. Nic's hair is groupgift from Pr!tty. Also many Lucky boards in the shop. The crown is a gift at Imaginarium.  The other hair on the third picture is also a gift at Imaginarium as well as the daisies around Nic. Dreamland. Surrounded by her curious dwarfs. She  has overslept her time and is very late in showing this dress. Click small picture to enlarge.

It's the last day of the Enchantment Event. You have to run to get this beautiful dress from ::UNA::.  When you see this and Enchantment is already closed, i think you don't need to be afraid. The dress will come in the main shop. The dress is from the Belle and Beast theme at the event, but it will be a beauty also for a ball or just to be beautiful. Six colors available. The fatpack has extra colors.There is a color hud for the gems.
Nic is wearing hair from Doe from a gacha. The necklace and the dwarfs are all from her inventory. You can buy at the event a very nice jewelry set from Elle. Another reason to run .

Nic on top of the roofs drinking her coffee. Spring in her heart...smelling  the spring in the air. In rl it's cold but the daylight is changing already. You can feel that springtime will come.
