halloween or a statement?

 

Maybe you think this is a Halloween inspired blogpost when you look at the knife in Nic's hand, But have a look at her other hand. You see a piece of cutted hair. It is a statement for the freedom of women. After what happened in Iran brave women in that country did cut their hair in public without wearing their Hijabs to protest because of the death of a 22 years old woman, Mahsa Amini. She was arrested by the morality police. There are very strict dress codes for women there. Also in other countries women did this cuting off a piece of hair now to stand for freedom for women. Nic is standing at the Second Pride Sim. Also freedom for people no matter how they are is important everywhere. 

Some items that Nic is showing are from the Halloween Shop&Hop. The knife you get with a bloody  dress from MOoH. Nic has two companions both gifts at S&H. The raincoat with dress I bought with the S&H store credits of GGVG. Bought this set in the main shop.The cutted hair piece I found in the box of the No.Match hair called No-Disorder, available at Salem. I am not wearing that hair but the hair Wendy from Doux.

happy 13th birthday Fifty Linden Friday

It's hot in rl at the moment. In Sl it can be hot too. Nic is wearing a face bandaid ( a gift at FLF Bash '22) because of her sunburned nose. Take a shower Nic. That will help😉

Fifty Linden Friday 13th birthday! FLF is one of those good sales that started long ago. I am always eager to know what will be in the sale. Already more than 15 years in Second Life I am and bought many good items at the Fifty Linden Friday sale. Because of the FLF Birthday Bash '22 event all items there are 50ld and their are many presents. On her way to the fall rock concert at the Nerido Sim. At the Nerido sim is a concert stage and a party terrace. I made the pictures there for this blog post and the photo contest. Yesterday i wrote about the contest. See for the info the blog post from yesterday. I decided to do another blog post for the contest. Showing a totally different style of clothes. Please help me with your faves if you like my photo on Flickr. May be that is important to win a prize.
Nic is now dressed as a casual girl in a shirt and leather skirt from Nerido. A style that i also like very much. On the shirt is written "you are a perfect beauty".
Nic's booties are from the Saturday Sale at REIGN. You get a fat pack for the sale price. The skin is the hunt skin Nadine from 7 Deadly s[K]ins in the color dew. Dew is a light color. It's from the Rock your Rack hunt. The Rock your Rack event is raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Many of the booths at the Rock your Rack event will have a 10 ld item available as part of the Rock your Rack hunt. You need find a clothes hanger with a heart.

Rush to get there.. to the Arcade before the 30th of September to get this cute autumn outfit from :::UNA::: It's there with more cute items in the gacha. Shopping at the Arcade is now of course easy, no lag! and immediately entrance!
Nic is feeling young and playful. The skirt is very cute. It's the Rare. You can also win another top with skirt as a common. That top has short sleeves. The stickers on the sole of the shoes are constantly moving. You can choose several patterns of the stickers with the hud. The scarf comes with flying leaves.
Nic is wearing hair from Tableau Vivant at Collabor88. You can use the hair with the windy or the non windy option. i used a hair base (accidentally) from Tableau Vivant, but not bad after all.
The roller skates are from Tentacio, available at Kustom9. You get them for wearing at your right hand.
Leaves and leave heaps are from Jinx. The trees used are the tulip trees from the Little Branch at Sense ( blogged before several times). The skin is the skin Maze from 7 Deadly s[K]ins at Dubai.

Autumn leaves are falling and a little breeze makes them cascading to the ground. Watching nature brings rest and you can feel what is important in life. Nic is enjoying the colors of the leaves and the last warmth of October. And enjoying life and sl even more then before.
She is wearing a group gift dress from Baiastice. Group join is 50ld, but there are more gifts to grab at the counter in the main shop. The dress comes with a cape with hair. I preferred to show it this way.
The tattoo is from Lush at Olympo. Cascading leaves is the name. It's a beautiful tattoo. Nic is wearing web earrings with a spider.

In the "We Love to Blog Group" i can get from several designers clothes or furniture, that i can review or blog.
I am feeling so privileged to be in that group. It is giving me the opportunity to show you so much.

This evening i was checking what was available in the group and stumbled upon this beautiful dress with an exotic sphere. Arabian and also Chinese.You get the dress with the killing shoes with the same pattern. A release at PreCAST Inc. Event (Augsut 1st - August 15th).
The dress is available in several colors. The silk gloss is beautiful. Nic was still wearing her golden tattoo from Izzie's and in my opinion combining perfect with this dress. Hair from Truth again but styled different now.

Immediately i knew, when i got the dress, in what sort of decor i wanted present the dress to you. I knew Zerkalo had a gacha at Epiphany with an Arabian styled mattress and a hookah. A good reason (and excuse for my self) to try my luck at that gacha machine. And wow i had luck. I got the mattress, the hookah and the room divider. I did the happy dance.
On the left side of Nic you see the coiled vases with a palm leave from Soy. Aren't they beautiful?! The bowl is from unKindness from the Posh Living set at Uber. I love the old texture of the bowl. The roof terrace  is from the Carnaval home from Scarlet Creative. The round rug in purple is from Kalopsia.
Thirsty Nic is drinking from her orange juice, the Women Only Hunt present from ChicChica. Lilo Denimore ( the designer) makes all sorts of drinks and bottles and food with a very good bento holding animation.

For Les Reine du Shopping contest at Flickr the theme is this week: sporty chic. I created Nic's look with a top from ISON that is in sale at Second Life's 15th Birthday. In the ISON shop i found the sporty moto jogger. I love that pants. Bought it also in white...see below. The jacket over shoulder is from a gacha from M.Birdie. The bags are oldies from LaGyo from Nic's inventory. The hair could be from a Parisian girl, so i used this hair again, from Mina at SL15B, a gift. Sporty shoes from Versov, a gift. On the ground and on the third picture in Nic's hand,  you can see a purple harmonica, a gift at SL15B. You can play on it.

salukis .. the dogs of my youth

When i was a kid we had salukis, or also called Persian greyhounds, at home.The name Saluki is derived from the Arab city of Saluk, which has disappeared under the sand. Salukis were used as hunting dogs by various nomadic folks. The dogs can run very fast. They are curious, shy and sensitive. One was my big friend. She had this black and tan color. It was a pleasure for me to discover these animals in second life. They were out at the april round from the Chapter Four in a gacha. Will soon be in the mainshop i guess. Also available at marketplace.

Nic went to the beach with them at the renewed sim from Kathy ( zaziaa) "Les Reves Perdus". Beautiful landscape again!
Nic is wearing a lovely top from Aleutia. Available at Tres Chic. I combined the top with pants from an old hunt at Ricielli. Comes with a color hud. Old hunt items are all together in a part of the shop. Nic's shoes are from the last hunt at Ricielli (the Easter hunt) For the shoes you need go hunting in another part of the shop. My blog followers will know that i am a hair addict in sl. When ever i see nice hairs i can't withstand buying. At Tres Chic i saw this beautiful hair from Fabia. The lipstick is from !IT! at The Avenue an exclusive for the month may.

Les reves perdu -Kattegat

Often i go to Les reves perdus ( Lost Dreams) because it is a beautiful sim. Today i discovered that Chanell changed the sim. It's now a Viking styled sim. Have a look. When you arrive, you get the beautiful necklace with a wolf and the moon with a star. Thanks Chanell.
No viking styled Nic however. I was looking for a nice spot to make a corner for Nic surrounded by flowers and grasses to put gifts from Goose there to show to you. Such a spot i found as you can see. I placed the fountain ( new gift)  and the broken wall (an older gift). Nic is showing you some gifts from Redeux. The keys, the dove, the tulips and the fireplace. After the photoshoot Nic tip-toed away (maybe afraid to get pine needles in her feet)  in her sexy outfit in the beautiful nature. A bit stupid because in the set are shoes included!

Nic is wearing a lovely set from {KT}. Love the rose pattern on the blouse and shorts. She is still wearing the same hair as in the post before this one from the Redeux event.

a cosy beach nook

Look at them... enjoying their beach nook. Just the cats are a bit scared because of the clean-o-matic machine.
The scene (a stage) is from Serenity Style. The door is a bit open so they can hide there bikini's and go inside to change there clothes. But it isn't a full beach home. On the pictures you see two beach stages attached to make a cosy nook. The beach chairs are also  from the set as well as the soda bottle and the bag. The chairs have several textures. Click to change. The Vintage Summer themed items can be be purchased as fatpack or in 3 different packs (stage/chair/ bag& bottle.). Out at The Liaison Collaborative at June 7th.
