Snowland

We've had loads of snow today, it was lovely, very gorgeous. It turned my house and street in a winter wonder land. But it also caused a lot of problems. Half my colleagues didn't show up at work today because they weren't able to get there and the news reported many accidents. Hopefully tomorrow will be better...

I decided to layer up since I was cold... How surprising is that. :) Kinda loved the result so heres the post... And btw, I just noticed its my rezzday today! Totally forgot and the day is almost over. I do still accept gifts however! :)

Beauty Avatar skin gift

Beauty Avatar released their new collection called "Estate" today and with that gave out a group gift. The gift contains two female skins, Delia and Cristine, of which I'm wearing the Delia skin. I really like the lips and the smoothness of the skin. Also the eyebrows are very well done. I'm not liking the eyeshadow much tho... its a bit too much and makes me look a bit mad imho. :)

The hair I'm wearing is one of Truth latest releases. I really love the flowiness of the hair and the way the bangs fall around my face. I think Truth is one of the few hairdesigners that doesnt only deliver a nice structure hair, but also pays a lot of attention to the way the hair should be surrounding your face. I'm really liking this style.

The shrug I'm wearing is by MG Fashion. I always love the way she combines her sculpties with her clothing and the balloned sleeves on this is a little example of that. I paired it with capri pants from the Pippa outfit from MichaMi and the top and belt I'm wearing are also parts from outfits, this time from Armidi. To ad a little bit more pink I stuck my little toes in an old Maitreya group gift, pumps that you get in tons of colors to fit almost every outfit.

Last but not least I'd like to point out the lovely Teardrop earrings and necklace I'm wearing, a gift from Aluinn a while ago and the great prim nails from PM. These have a colormenu so you can get them to match almost every outfit! I cannot imagine my sl without prim nails (or lashes). :)

Wearing dresses :)

So I set myself a little challenge today which I think most girls would be surprised it's a challenge at all. I had to find a dress to blog and it couldnt be black. This is hard for me since I rarely wear dresses in SL... sometimes a skirt, but mostly jeans or slacks.

I eventually came up with this Bijou dress I have had in my inventory for a while. Bijou always releases some of the most creative items on the grid. Apart from the nice design and great textures this dress also comes with a few options. The belt you get in gold ánd silver and you can wear it with or without sleeves. I also put in a little picture of the dress wíth sleeves.

Next item is this Rockberry skin, which I think looks extremely good with this dress. Its the Uma skin line and it definitely needed a little close up. The lips on this skin are gorgeous and full and the eyeshadow is just perfect to me... not too much. The creator, Heather Bebee, keeps perfecting and improving her skins and I love each new release a little more, including her Uma skin line.

I caught myself halfway thinking: hey this would look good with jeans... But I could restrict myself and pair it up with Armidi Metallic Tights in Gold. Then to finish it off I wore my all time favorite Stiletto Moody Gladiator Boots, which cost me an arm and a leg. These boots are simply stunning, but I chose to only wear the sandal part, not the whole boot.

I've had a lot of fun picking this outfit together and in the end I feel very comfy in it :) I hope you all like it!

Here I go...

I was honoured when Karina asked me to help out with her new blog! I consider her to be one of the better dressed avi's in our second life and I'm glad she likes to see some of my style on this blog as well.

Let me start with an outfit I've been wearing a lot since Leezu Baxter created her Revolution Pan dresses. Leezu creates some of the best dresses in sl with beautiful rich colors and her designs keep surprising me. Tho I absolutely love the dress, I chose to only wear the top half and combine it with Armidi Brindisi slacks. I think put together this outfit is kinda chique but still casual enough to just do the daily sl shopping :)
